All the rage on the Internet is Niche Marketing. Niche marketing means nothing more than targeting your information, products, and services to a select, specific group of prospects that have something in common. I like to say they all have a common denominator.
Marketing to everyone will never work and I encourage you to save your advertising dollars and focus on reaching your niche. They will have a very specific interest in the information, product or service that you created just for them. They will become lifelong customers and lifelong subscribers to your informative newsletter.
Niche groups are everywhere. Just look at the specialty publications at your local news stand. What's great is that people within any niche all hang together. Like enthusiasts for anything, they have their own special places, trade publications, newsletters, ezines, etc. You want to reach them through those media.
If you are selling anything via the Internet or in the offline world and you are not a giant distributor like Wal-Mart, then you should know your niche. If you aren't sure that you can define the markets you are targeting, call me.
