There is only one form of bulk email that is going to work for you today on the Internet and keep you out of trouble. So, before we go any further, let me say you must not spam (send unsolicited emails) to anyone. You will quickly reap the rewards of this act with complaints and the possible cancellation of all your Internet accounts.
I also do not recommend buying lists, but if you feel this is what you must do, be sure the list you do purchase are qualified. What do I mean by qualified? They are less than 6 months old (1-3 months would be even better) and the people on the list have purchased a product that corresponds to yours in function, quality and price. This list must be specific to your industry. If you must purchase mailing list find businesses similar or complimentary to yours that don't sell their mailing lists and try to purchase their list.
Now on to the only way to go for success on the Internet with email. You will do far better by creating an opt-in list. What you are going to want to do is create a newsletter or ezine that showcases your knowledge and expertise on your industry and send it to people that have requested it. You can easily have a place on your website for all your potential subscribers to sign up. And, what better way to advertise than in your own publication.
So, behave with email and do it right. All of the successful marketers on the Internet have a free newsletter or ezine that they offer to prospects and they use this vehicle to create huge amounts of money.
